Jordyn Holman is a business reporter at The New York Times covering the evolving world of consumerism through the lens of retailers and their shoppers. She is also contributor to Marketplace, the radio program hosted by Kai Ryssdal.

She previously worked at Bloomberg News covering retailers and often wrote about the intersection of race, class and gender in corporate America. Her work has been featured in Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Quicktake. She was a reporter for The Pay Check, an Emmy-nominated podcast on the racial wealth gender pay gap. Jordyn makes frequent broadcast appearances, including on Bloomberg TV, Quicktake and Bloomberg Radio. She's also appeared on MSNBC, NPR and PBS NewsHour.

Her work has also been published in the Chicago Sun-Times, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Marketplace, Variety Magazine, HuffPost and USA Today College.

The Chicago native received her Bachelor in Arts in Print and Digital Journalism from the University of Southern California. Jordyn has received industry honors from the National Association of Black Journalists, the New York Association of Black Journalists, the Los Angeles Press Club, the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of Society Professional Journalists' and the California College Media Association.
